august 21: therapeutic jumping day

This is another activity day, like Funny Face Day. It is fueled by the belief that a good jumping session can be just what the doctor ordered to relieve stress, express joy, or have fun! We've set aside a day for it, but there's no reason why Therapeutic Jumping can't happen year-round. To make this day extra-special, try skipping when you would usually be walking. When was the last time you skipped down the street?

The technique of Therapeutic Jumping is simple: when you feel the need coming on, arise from your hammock, and begin to jump about in a disordered fashion, while flailing your arms hither and thither. Continue until you are done.

Low-impact Therapeutic Jumping: sit in a springy chair and bounce up and down vigorously. Or, try out a pair of Moon Shoes if you have good balance.
