march 3: girls' day

Girls' Day, or Hinamatsuri in Japanese, is traditionally a day for dressing and decorating a massive shrine of dolls, which is probably less creepy than it sounds.

Here at the Agency, we encourage you to spend this day "playing like a girl." Were you ever told, "put that back, that's a girl's toy?" Conversely, do you miss the overdetermined sex roles of your youth, and long to return to a pinker, frillier past? In either case, indulge yourself today by playing dress-up, having a tea party, and pitching underhanded.

Inspirations of the day: Hello Kitty, Jem and the Holograms, the Powerpuff Girls, drinks with straws, and Wet 'N' Wild cosmetics. Dressing like an insane Japanese teenager is A++!

Agent Courtney and Friend of Leisure DQ suggested this holiday.
